About me

My name is Julian Ward, and I was born and raised in Austin, Texas. I attended Pflugerville High school and was involved in sports such as football, basketball, and track. Some accomplishments I had received while at Pflugerville were the 40 yard dash record, vertical jump record, ESPN Top 150 in football and one of the top track athletes in my class of 2011. Due to injury in my senior year, it cost a lot of my football scholarships to be taken away, but I was still able to be blessed to play the sport I love in college at West Texas A&M and Texas State University. I studied Sports and Exercise Science, Sports Management, and graduated with a Recreational Administration degree. Since then I have been coaching football, basketball, and track & field. I also train young individuals from middle school to the college level that are in football, basketball, volleyball, soccer, and track & field for about 6 years now. I am also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. I believe that every athlete has the opportunity to be successful, but it is up to them to be focused through the process.
With an emphasis on athletics, life wellness, personal, and performance training, we look to build character, discipline, and a growth mindset into each individual and also develop a mentality where hard work becomes easy work.

F.O.C.U.S Performance strives to build not only a consistent mindset but also one of fulfilment when it comes to athletics, wellness, and success in individuals. We help you to understand your goal and the process to get there. We move with vision!

“Hard work is easy work” – things are hard because you already put in your mind that they are. Being consistent and fighting through the hard will then lead to an easier road ahead.

Consistency – Be consistent with what you’re trying to achieve. The moment you slack off is the moment someone has surpassed you.

Believe – you must believe in yourself in order for your dreams to manifest into reality.

Core Values

Everything on this earth has a means for growth, figuring out how is up to you.

A wise person is not just equipped with knowledge, but also experience and understanding. Seek to understand why you experience certain things while obtaining the knowledge of how to overcome.

When you have vision, it’s not just a picture of the future, it is an appeal to our better selves, a call to become more in life. Action without vision is a tragedy waiting to happen.

Through blood or friendship you will always know there is at least one person you can count on to be there.
